Under the chairmanship of Yvonnick Raffin, Minister Ministry of Finance and Economy, responsible for Energy, Comprehensive Social Welfare and Coordination of Government Action, the Advisory Committee on Tax Approvals of November 10 issued a favorable opinion on 4 applications regarding two hotel projects, a project to acquire charter sailing boats and an industrial project.
These projects account for a total investment of XPF 11.76 billion. The financial aid granted by the French Polynesian Government in the form of tax credit and exemptions from corporate tax during the operating phase amounts to XPF 5.08 billion.
The projects will create 79 direct jobs as soon as the investments are put into operation and help preserve 401 jobs during the construction phase and 185 during the operating phase.
The applications will soon be submitted to the approval of the Budget and Financial Control Committee of the Assembly of French Polynesia.
